Ubuntu-ni III Anniversary Celebration

The last sunday, february 7th the Ubuntu Nicaraguan LoCo Team celebrated its third anniversary holding a hacklab at the Instituto de Capacitación Informática. The lab sessions started at 11:30 am (UTM - 6) with Adolfo Fitoria showing his Django-Fu powers, then I showed some Lernid magic and Leandro Gómez gave us some tips on audio editing using Audacity and finally Angel Bonilla held a geat session about Blender.

It was a good time to spent with the friends remembering the beginning of our LoCo and chat about upcoming projects and activities and we also recorded the fifth episode of our Free Software Podcast.

Nicaraguan LoCo Team's Third Anniversary

I can't hardly believe that the Nicaraguan Ubuntu LoCo Team is arriving to its third anniversary, and as celebration party we will be running a Hacklab at the Instituto de Informática y Sistemas of Monseñor Lezcano, Managua, the next Sunday, February the 7th starting at 10:00 am.

At this moment, we have scheduled the following activities: Leandro Gómez will show us how he edit the POSOL with Audacity, Marcelo Gutiérrez will share some tips on installing an running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx Alpha 2, Luis Landero will talk about RAID-1 and I'll be showing Lernid and possibly testing it in Fedora with the help of Neville Cross, Nicaraguan Fedora Ambassador.

The POSOL team will be recording the fifth episode of the podcast during the event and there is a new section for the english speakers ;-)

Tercer aniversario de Ubuntu Nicaragua

Me resulta difícil creer que el Ubuntu LoCo Team de Nicaragua está llegando a su tercer aniversario, y para celebrar a como es debido vamos a realizar un Hacklab en el Instituto de Informática y Sistemas de Monseñor Lezcano el próximo Domingo 7 de febrero a partir de las 10:00 am.

Por el momento tenemos confirmadas las siguientes actividades: Leandro Gómez nos va a enseñar como edita el POSOL en Audacity, Marcelo Gutiérrez nos va a mostrar lo Lucid Lynx, Luis Landero nos hablará de sistemas RAID-1 y yo voy a estar probando Lernid.
